WHY VISIT?

Ranong & the border crossing — Forget airports: this journey begins with a salty, scenic boat ride past stilt villages and fishing fleets between two countries. It is travel the way it used to be — and an adventure story from minute one.

Kawthaung (Victoria Point) — Myanmar’s southernmost town is a charming time-warp frontier port: golden hilltop pagodas, a waterfront market piled with the day’s catch, and sunset views over an island-studded strait that few travellers ever witness.

The Myeik (Mergui) Archipelago — While Phuket receives millions of visitors a year, the 800-island Mergui Archipelago — just across the border — receives a few thousand. Empty beaches, intact reefs, sea gypsies’ (Moken) waters: this is the Andaman of 50 years ago.

Nyaung Oo Phee Island — A true private-island stay without the Maldives price tag: blinding-white sand, a turquoise lagoon, a house reef alive with fish, and just one low-key resort. No roads, no crowds, no noise — the rarest luxuries of all.
